State Plane Coordinates III

This is the third course in the series. The pattern of distortion that occurs with each type of projection (Transverse Mercator and Lambert Conformal) is covered. Then the discussion moves on to the mapping angle, central meridian and what typical SPCS constants are for selected zones from each type of projection. The course concludes with a presentation on the computational process for calculating geodetic distances, grid distances and mapping angles.
