Standards for Digital Cadastral Mapping; 1st and 2nd Order Horizontal & Vertical Control; and Surveyor’s Real Property Report

This course has three parts. The first part covers the Digital Cadastral Mapping Standards (2 CSR 90-65) in Missouri. It includes a discussion of the application of the standards, the purpose and requirements that are specified to comply with the standards. The second part discusses the regulations (2 CSR 90-62 ) Missouri’s Standards for 1st and 2nd Order Horizontal and Vertical control. Definitions and classification of surveys is discussed. The process of acceptance and publication by the Department is covered. GPS and Traverse survey guidelines for achieving the standards are then discussed. The third part covers the Missouri Standards for the Surveyor’s Real Property Report (2 CSR 90-63). In it the parties and processes that are involved before a land surveyor can provide a Real Property Report are discussed. The procedures that the surveyor must use in the field and in research and the form and certification that are mandated are discussed.
