This course presents potential Land Surveying Exam test takers (FS, PS, State Specific or all three) with a few practical tips for preparing to take the land surveying exam, both from an exam content point of view as well as the logistical details that the test taker is likely to encounter. The course is an update to an earlier course presented by Dr. Paiva. Since then, NCEES has changed the way the FS and PS exams are presented and taken. They are now taken as closed book, computer-based testing (CBT) exams. This course’s content reflects that change. It also provides tips on valuable information available from the NCEES YouTube channel as well as the NCEES.org website to enable the test taker to be as well-informed as possible. The purpose of this course is to minimize the unpleasant surprises that the test taker may encounter. The underlying philosophy being that surprises can severely compromise the possibility of successfully completing the exam.
