This course covers all the sections of the Missouri Standards except the Approved Monumentation section. The course begins with the explanation that these standards are published by the Missouri Land Survey Program as 2 CSR 90-60.010 et. seq., but the Missouri Board for Architects, Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Professional Landscape Architects also publishes the same standards, but in a slightly different format as 20 CSR 230-16.0010 et. seq. The standards are then covered section by section beginning with what kinds of survey products the standards apply to (and which ones they don’t apply to). Some of the highlights include deviations from the standards and how they should be handled; records research, field investigation, monumentation, publication of results and guidance on when to determine that there is material variation from the published record and how it should be stated.
